The good folks at Concerts East have put aside an entire row for me to giveaway to my listeners for the May 4th show at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank starring ALEJANDRO ESCOVEDO and the SENSITIVE BOYS with JESSE MALIN and the ST MARKS SOCIAL opening.
This is a fantastic double bill and most importantly a portion of the proceeds will go to the Light of Day Foundation and the Joan Dancy PALS foundation. Both of these are causes that are very near to me. Light of Day is for Parkinson’s Disease that long time friend Bob Benjamin has been battling for over 10 years and Joan Dancy PALS is for People with ALS, a disease that has no cure and is an emotional and financial drain on families if a loved one is stricken with it. Just recently someone very close and influential in my life was diagnosed with ALS and watching the toll it’s taking on his wife and child is possibly the most heartbreaking experience i have ever witnessed. i’d love it if you could support these causes. Tickets are onsale now and the prices range from $18 to $52 which should fit into everyone’s budget. ticket info is here
of course we’d all prefer everyone buys tickets but to help get the word out and to do something cool i have an entire row to giveaway that we’ll call Russo’s row, it’s not just any row, it’s the front row of the loge, meaning there is no one in front of you! you will enjoy the show from your perch that hangs over the floor with a direct line of sight and the best sound in the room. I need your help in how to give these away. do i give them away in pairs? or do we do a grand prize and some lucky winner gets to bring a bunch of friends? vote on this below
