This is the payoff we’ve been anticipating ever since Thom Yorke remixed DOOM’S “Gazillion Ear” back in 2009.
It seems the Radiohead duo and the chrome-plated masked rapper will be collaborating on a track for the upcoming LEX Records compilation celebrating their 10th birthday.
The compilation is called Complex, and also includes contributions from Gruff Rhys’ and Boom Bip’s Neon Neon project, Boom Bip solo, and Doseone and Fog’s Crook&Flail project, among others. It’ll be made available digitally on a week-by-week, track-by track basis until mid-January, at which point the whole set will be released on picture disc vinyl.
Earlier today, it was rumored that Radiohead would be playing for protesters at Occupy Wall Street at 4 p.m. this afternoon. Then it was confirmed! Then it was denied by Radiohead’s management. But THEN, spokespersons for the Occupy Wall Street protesters and MoveOn both told us it was really happening. And then some people handed out cough drops. So in conclusion, no one really knows what’s going to happen in the next hour or so.

Last night, media gadfly and television host Stephen Colbert played host to the band Radiohead; making a big spectacle and joke of the fact that they have jumped off the corporate grid these past few years by showing copious plugs for Dr. Pepper, touting it as “The official softdrink of Radiohead.”
The whole gang had a good laugh about it and went on to perform a few songs and talk about global warming.
